Nehru Institute Of Mountaineering Travel Map

The Nehru Institute of Mountaineering was founded in the year 1965 at Uttarkashi, in memory of Jawaharlal Nehru, who was a mountain lover. The Institute has a serene environment and beautiful natural surroundings.An autonomous body, the Institute is registered under the Registration Act No.XXI of 1860. The Executive Council Chaired by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand governs the administration of the Institute. There are some 31 life time members and 64 ordinary members. The chief concern of the institute is to offer practical and theoretical training to people on adventure sports without causing any harm to the environment.
