Since then Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of belly in this temple. Moreover, the temple is closed for six months, during which the silver idols enshrined in the temple are taken to Ukhimath for worship. Pilgrims can also visit nearby Kali temple, where the tall Har Gauri idol is installed. Tourists while visiting the site can also view Kedarnath, Chaukhamba and Neelkanth peaks.
