Dwarahat is a historical village situated at 38 km from the town of Ranikhet. This place was also the capital of the Katyuri Kingdom as well as a power centre for the Katyuri rulers in the 16th century. Its main attraction includes ancient temples like Badnirath, Maniyan, Mrityunjaya, Dhwaj and Kachri Devtas. The Syalde-Bikhauti fair held here every year in April, is also a prominent tourist attraction of the place.
