In the central part of Patal Bhuvaneshwar is a temple, the Patal Bhuvaneshwar Temple. The temple was constructed by the rulers of Chand and Katyuri dynasties and belongs to the 12th century AD.At the entrance of main temple, there are two idols named Jai and Vijay, standing with weapons held in their hands. The temple's roof is carved with different designs. The sanctum of temple enshrines a lingam and idols of Shiva and Parvati. There is a statue of Lord Hanuman present in the premises of temple, next to which is a temple of Chandika Devi.According to historical estimation, the temples are around 2500 years old. There are temples ranging from the 8th to the 18th centuries.
