Located in the district of Uttarkashi in the state of Uttarakhand is the town of Badkot. It is considered as an important halt point in the religious Char-Dham Yatra of the Hindus. It is a hilly town, which is about 40 km from Dharasu and is popular for abundant Apple orchards. Badkot is also popular for the ancient temples located in the region, which is why most of the devotees stay near the holy shrine in tents as a part of their Char Dham Yatra.
