Paonta Sahib
Paonta Sahib is a small town situated in proximity of Kalsi on the border of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. According to legends, Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh guru, stayed here for several years and practised the art of warfare, after the death of his father Guru Tegh Bahadur.Gurudwara Bhangani Sahib, known as the place where the war between Guru Gobind Singh and Raja Fateh Shah was fought, is located close to this site. Gurudwara Tirgarh Sahib is another tourist attraction, which is located on the nearby hill. This gurudwara is known as the place from where Guru Gobind Singh shot arrows at his enemies. Gurudwara Shergarh Sahib is a place where the Guru Gobind Singh killed a tiger by his sword. Various articles associated with the Guru, such as pens and weapons are still preserved in the gurudwara.
