Guptkashi

The sacred destination, Guptkashi is famous for the ancient Vishwanath Temple – dedicated to god Shiva and another famous temple is dedicated to Ardhanareshvara (a half man half woman form of Shiva and Parvati). Guptkashi has religious importance and it is considered next to that of Varanasi. Guptkashi is a town located on the way to the Kedarnath in Rudraprayag district in an Indian stste of Uttrakhand. It has the picturesque scenic backdrop of the snow covered hilltop of Chaukhamba and enjoys a salubrious weather which attracts national and international tourists throughout the year.
