This is the only temple out of the five temples of Panch Kedar that remains open in all the seasons. The temple tree Kalpavriksha acts as a perfect spot for sages for meditating. According to the mythology, Sage Arghya had produced a nymph named Urvashi at this site. It is believed that Rishi Durvasa also meditated under Kalpavriksha.
