Rudranath Mandir is a rock temple that is located in the Chamoli District nearby Chopta village. One of the Panch Kedars, Lord Shiva is worshipped as Neelkanth in this temple. Vaitrani River also known as the 'Water of Salvation' flows behind the Rudranath Temple. Numerous kunds can be seen by travellers nearby the temple, namely the Tarakund and the Suryakund. The Anusuya Devi Temple also lies in the vicinity of the Rudranath Mandir. Travellers can see various peaks like Nandadevi, Trishuli and Hathi Parvat from this temple. The Rudranath Mandir remains closed during winters due to heavy snowfall.
