Pushkar
Pushkar is a town in the Ajmer district in an Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located on the shore of Pushkar Lake, which has many ghats where pilgrims bathe, also it is believed that this lake is formed by the tears of Lord Shiva and the Brahma Temple. In the memory of Guru Gobind Singh, pushkar has a bathing ghats called Gobind ghat built by the Marathas. Pushkar is also famous for its annual fair - Pushkar Camel Fair featuring a trading fete of cattle, horses and camels. For a serene view as you dine, there are a number of hotels overlooking the Pushkar Lake with rooftop restaurants. A visit to simple temple towns like Pushkar are a relief from the complex city life.

By Train
Ajmer is the closest railway station from Pushkar at a distance of just 11 km. Being an important destination itself, Ajmer is conveniently connected with the major cities of Rajasthan and India.
By Road
Pushkar is easily connected to the major roadways and national highways of Rajasthan and India. The Marwar bus stand is situated in the north of Pushkar and is linked to long distance places, like Delhi, Jodhpur and Bikaner. The other stand is Ajmer bus stand, at a distance of 11 km in the east of Pushkar. Regular buses ply from Pushkar to Ajmer, Jaipur, Indore and Nagda every 15 minutes.
