Nakki Lake
Nakki Lake is famous for its cool and calm atmosphere due to its ideal location in the backdrop of the Aravalli Mountains. It is the sole artificial lake in India, which is situated at a height of more than 1,200 m. Legend states that it has been carved out of rocks by Gods with the use of their nails. It is also a suitable location for enjoying boating and rock climbing, while on a trip to Mount Abu. The lake is situated beside Shri Raghunathji Temple, Toad Rock and the Maharaja Jaipur Palace in Mount Abu. Sunset Point is also very close to Nakki Lake, which is frequented by bandits. On 12th February 1948, Mahatma Gandhis ashes were immersed in Nakki Lake and Gandhi Ghat was built alongside it.
