Kota
The princely city Kota formerly known as Kotah is a city and it is also a district situated on the bank of Chambal River around 250 Kms south of the Jaipur in an indian state of Rajasthan. Kota is an ultimate and almost essential attraction of the itinerary due to having most attraction spotss like Garh Palace, Maharao Madho Singh Museum, Abheda Mahal and Karani Mata Temple, Dad Devi Temple, Charan Chauki, Jagmandir Palace and Chambal Garden. The fine-grained variety of limestone quarried from Kota district is known as Kota stone, with rich greenish-blue and brown colours. Kota is also known for the fine translucent muslins called Masuria Malmal, Doria sarees, silk sarees, gold jewellery. Kota is also famous for its coaching institutes for engineering and medical entrance exams. It is also called "Education City of India".
