City Palace is located at Karauli City in the state of Rajasthan. This palace was constructed in the 14th century and is famous for its classic paintings, stone carvings, architecture and lattice works. Moreover, the 600 year old artwork is still evident in the Darbaar Hall that also contains old pictures of the palace.Till 1938, the palace remained the official residence of the royal family. After the construction of the Bhanwar Vilas Palace, the royal family shifted from this palace. Although the old palace was constructed in the 14th century, the present City Palace that is ornamented with stucco work and frescoes dates from the 18th century.The big hall is equipped with all the basic facilities and was used by the royals to meet the commons. In addition to this, this hall was also used as a venue to solve the issues related to general administration and welfare.
