Nahargarh Fort is a famous tourist attraction in Jaipur that was constructed by Sawai Man Singh. The construction of this fort was completed in 1734 and was expanded in 1868. This fort has huge walls and bastions that were later renovated in 1880 by Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh, with murals and beautiful designs. Situated on the Aravalli Mountain Range, it reflects the unique fusion of Indian and European architectural styles. The fort was named after Prince Nahar Singh, whose soul was believed to disrupt the construction of this fort. Nahargarh essentially means the abode of tigers and houses the Madhavendra Bhavan which is one of its major attractions. This bhavan was used by the royal family during the summer season. It is still a popular picnic spot among the travellers coming to Jaipur. There is also a cafeteria and a restaurant inside the fort complex.
