A historical and princely city Bundi is situated in the Hadoti region of an Indian state of Rajasthan and it is nestled three sides in the cleft of the Araavali hills and it has a notable medieval flavor quite untouched by time. Bundi is also known as "Choti Kashi" because there are many ancient temples in the Bundi, which has been built by kings at their reign. A substantial wall with four gateways encircles the city. Bundi came under the Sisodia Rajputs of Mewar and the Hada rulers were their vassals until 1568, when Rao Surjan Singh submitted to Akbar after the fall of Ranthambore. The famous spots to visit Bundi are Taragarh Fort, Bundi Palace, Naval Sagar and NAgar Sagartwin steps wells.
