Jijamata Palace Travel Map

The Jijamata Palace of Raigad is dedicated to the mother of Shivaji, Jijabai. Jijabai was said to be a lady of high values and spirits and lived so till her death. She was said to bethe person behind the greatness of Shivaji. The main attraction of this palace includes the Samadhi of Jijabai.This palace is however, far away from its original structure and grandeur in present times, as it was destroyed to a large extent during the British rule. The ruins of this palace are now under the protection of Archaeological Survey of India.
