Bhira Dam, also known as Tata Power House Dam, is situated in a village, with a waterfall near Kolad. Located 45 km from the town, the reservoir provides a place for enjoying a picnic or a boat ride. The dam was constructed in 1927 by the Tata Power Company and is considered among the largest hydroelectric power projects in India. Apart from generating power and irrigating nearby fields, the dam also provides water to the Kundalika River, which is mainly used for water rafting.
