Khanderi Fort Travel Map

Built in the year 1678, the Khanderi Fort is located at around 3 to 4 km away from the Thai Beach. This fort was under the influence of the British Empire for a long time after which, a lighthouse was also built here. As a part of the Peshwa territory, this fort was handed over to the British Empire in the year 1750. Currently, the port is under the authority of Bombay Port Trust Administration, which is why the authority's permission is required to visit the place. Travellers can hire local boats to reach the fort.
