Juhu Beach Travel Map

Juhu Beach, situated in the suburbs of Mumbai, is one of the largest and most popular beaches in Mumbai. It is 6 km long and is ringed by Arabian Sea on the west. To the north of this beach is Gandhi Gram, where Mahatma Gandhi lived in his days as a lawyer. The southern end of the beach is marked by a number of luxury hotels.The beach is most famous for its street-side food like Pani Puri, Sev Puri, Pav Bhaji and more. Moreover, tourists can buy tee shirts, balloons, ice creams and numerous other things from the many stalls at the beach. In the evenings, the beach is crowded by people intending to see the beautiful sun, setting at the horizon of Arabian Sea.Tourists generally pass their time at the beach by watching air planes taking off and landing in the nearby Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Often, tourists can catch glimpses of shooting of a Bollywood movie as well at Juhu Beach. Swimming should be avoided at the beach, but a peaceful sunbath is an ideal option.Nearest train stations to the beach are Santa Cruz, Andheri and Vile Parle.
