Nagphani (Cobra's Hood) is located 12 km away from Lonavala, on the highway towards Mumbai. The top of this cliff reflects the pointed hood of a snake, due to which it earned the nickname Nagphani. The cliff is also referred to as the Duke's Nose.Popular with hikers, this cliff is believed to be a trekker's paradise, which provides views of the downhill plains. During monsoons, the site gets slippery with less vegetation cover on the top, owing to which trekkers need to wear rubber-soled shoes while trekking. The cliff top can be reached within 2 hours of brisk walking. To reach the landmark, visitors can make their way from Ryewood Park to Monsoon Lake, along the shores. Travelling from Lonavala to Kurvanda village along the hill's base is another convenient way of reaching the cliff. Visitors can also trek from Lonavala to I.N.S. Shivaji base to reach Duke's Nose.
