Takmok Tok also known as the punishment point is a 1200 ft tall rock providing a vast view of the Sahyadri Hills and its over-folding edges making it a popular viewpoint of Raigad. In ancient times traitors were punished by being thrown down this cliff and Shivaji also chucked down a large number of his enemies down in this valley. Visit to this cliff is restricted during monsoons and on summer mornings to avoid any accidents.
