Bhayander
Bhayander, a major suburb in Mumbai, is governed by the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC). The suburb is situated on the western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway and is divided by the rail line into east and west. The East Indian villages in Bhayander include Uttan, Tarodi, Dongri and Pali Chowk. All these villages were formed by the Portuguese settlers.The suburb is also famous for manufacturing household articles, steel furniture, salt and plastic footware.
