Dajipur Bison Sanctuary
Dajipur Bison Sanctuary, one of the forest reserves, is situated on the border of the Kolhapur and the Sindhudurg District. Located at an average elevation of around 1,200 m, the sanctuary is surrounded by rugged mountains and dense as well as thick forests.The sanctuary is home to numerous small mammals, reptiles and wild animals such as the Gava or Indian bison, deer, monkeys, wild boars, bears and chitals. The sanctuary also has a watchtower near the Manora watering hole.
