Muktabai Temple
Muktabai temple in Muktai Nagar near Alandi, is also known by the names of Dhyaneswar Muktabai temple or Muktai temple. The name has been given in reverence to the youngest sister of Sant Dhyaneswar. Devotees believe that she was the incarnation of Goddess Saraswati, or the goddess Shakti. She was an honourable dignitary in the region during the 12th century ADIt is also considered that she was the guru of Yogi Chaangdev Maharaj. In honor of Muktabai, there are two temples in the region. Besides this, there is a century old temple at Muktai Nagar and another temple known as Mehun temple. A large fair is conducted near the temple of Muktai, four days before Mahashivratri.
