Thottungal Masjid is considered to be the oldest Mosque in Kerala. The mosque was built around 300 years ago by Sheikh Faridudhin. The mosque is also known as Thottungal Palli. The building of the mosque is like a house. The mosque has no minarets and domes; instead it has a pitched roof and clay tiles. The mosque has embellished mogapu (front) and has traditional ridges.
