State Museum
State Museum Complex, situated over an area of about 5.5 acres of land in Thrissur city, comprises of Zoological Garden, Botanical Garden, Art Museum and Natural History Museum. State Museum Complex was established in the year 1885, is a popular attraction of tourists visiting the city. Archaeological and Art Museum exhibits ancient relics and artefacts from all parts of Kerala. Zoological Garden, popular among kids, is home to about 315 animals which belong to 46 species. The galleries of Natural History Museum display those exhibits which explain the history of evolution and the importance of Preservation of Nature.
