Chelakkara
Chelakkara is a town, situated around 22 km from Lakkidi. The Narasimha Murthy Temple and Anthimahakalan Temple are the popular ancient shrines of the region. These shrines are visited by a number of tourists especially during the celebrations of Vaikunta Ekadasi and Navaratri. The Anthimahakalan Temple Vela is another important festival celebrated in this temple. The Ayyappan Kavu and Sree Subhramanya Swami Kshetram are other attractions. Thaipooya Mahotsavam is the main festival celebrated in these shrines. Close to these temples are the five ancient shrines, out of which the temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Thiruveembilappa are the prominent ones. The other attractions of this place include the Vadasseri Sri Krishna Temple, Thali Shiva Temple, Sree Dharma Sastha Temple, St. George Church, St. Mary's Forane Church and a local dam.
