St. Roche's Church is situated in the village of Manickamangalam, around 3 km away from the banks of the Periyar River. This church was built in 1922 on the land donated by Sri Kolenchery Chacko Kochappu. It is believed the Vicar of Kottamam Parish, Rev. Fr. Ouseph Thaliyath, constructed this church. In 1924, Fr. Ouseph Chiramel rebuilt this church after it was demolished by floods. The foundation stone of this church was laid by Rev. Fr. Geevarghese Kolenchery on 9th November 1959.
