The Thommankuthu Falls is named after Thomman, a tribal leader, who fell into this waterfall while crossing the river. Known as the Seven Steps Waterfall, this fall has a pool and a cascade after each step. It is located at a distance of around 17 km from Thodupuzha town and has a height of around 1500 m. It is dotted with numerous caves and thick forests and is considered ideal for various activities like rock climbing, camping and trekking. Boating, horse riding and fishing can also be done. The Thommankuthu Falls can be reached by taxis or through state operated buses that are easily available.
