Archaeological Museum, erstwhile Tripunithura Hill Palace, is a major sightseeing attraction of Chottanikkara. The museum, built in 1865, sprawls over an area of 54 acres. The palace is one of the 49 traditional buildings that provide a glimpse of architecture of yesteryears. The palace was the administrative headquarters for the Kings of Kochi. At the museum, one can look take a look at beautiful archaeological articles that belonged to the Kingdom of Kochi. Travellers can also visit the deer park, the heritage museum, the children's park and the pre-historic park within the palace premises.
