Chalakudy River Travel Map

Chalakudy River also known by the name of Chalakudy Puzha is located in the Thrissur district of the state of Kerala. It is also the source of many water falls across Kerala state and is the fourth longest river of Kerala. Deep vegetation cover is located near to the region of the river because of the fertile soil. The origin of the river is said to be in the region of Tamil Nadu, in Anamalai Region. This river is said to be a major collection of tributaries like Parambikulam, Kuriyarkutti, Sholayar, Karapara and Anakayam of Kerala state. The popular water falls of Athirappilly falls and Vazhachal Falls are located on this river.
