Devoted to Lord Shiva, Gauri Shankar temple is situated just below the castle and is known for its conspicuous architecture. It was constructed during the 11th and 12th century. It is built in pyramid style on an elevated platform and houses idol of Gauri-Shankar. A protected monument, the temple features square shape at the base and dome shape on the top.It is supposed to be the last monument of the Gurjara-Pratihara traditions. The stone carvings on the temple are main attractions and the front of the Garbhagriha features carving of the figures of Lord Ganesh, flowers, musician and a dancer
