Arki Fort
Arki Fort, constructed by Rana Prithvi Singh, was used by the Gurkha rulers during their invasion in the town. Presently, this fort is a heritage hotel which presents a fusion of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. The fort displays a Rajasthani influence in its architecture.The walls of the fort are embellished with the paintings in Pahari style that convey the contemporary lifestyle of the inhabitants of the hilly areas. Frescos and murals that were designed in Pahari School of miniature paintings were added to the fort in 1850 by Raja Kishen Chand. The fort is the private property of the descendants of the erstwhile ruler, Raja Rajendra Singh.One part of the fort has been converted into a heritage resort for tourists who wishto experience the royal grandeur. Tourists staying in the heritage hotel of the Arki Fort can catch the glimpse of other famous hill stations like Subathu, Shimla and Kasauli
