The nearest airport to Kasol is Kullu Manali Airport also known as Bhuntar Airport in Kullu district. Daily flights connect the airport to the country’s capital, Delhi. Taxi or cab can easily be booked to reach Kasol from the airport which is a nearly 31 km and will take you about an hour to reach there. For tourists coming from other countries, you can take a flight to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. From there, you can either opt for a bus, cab (540 km with an 11-12 hours journey) or take another flight from IGI Airport to Bhuntar Airport and thereafter a cab or taxi.
Being a hilly area, Kasol does not have direct railway connectivity. To reach Kasol by railways you have to get off at Joginder Nagar railway station in Himachal Pradesh, about 144 km from the village of Kasol. You can take a cab from the station to reach Kasol or a bus from the Joginder Nagar Bus Stand towards Manikaran which should take about 4.5 to 5 hours. Chandigarh Railway station is also very common among tourists coming via train. You can take a train to Chandigarh at a distance of 296 km from Kasol, which connects major Indian metro cities. You have to take a bus towards Manali or hire a cab to reach Kasol.
Kasol being one of the most visited places in by foreign tourists in India, the village is excellent road connectivity via NH-3. There are buses leaving to Kasol from Kashmiri Gate ISBT in Delhi for all the days of the week. Semi-sleeper Volvos are available for about 1000 to 1500 INR per seat and booking can easily be made online. The journey takes about 11 to 12 hours. You have to then get down at Bhuntar, and take another bus towards Manikaran.
