Suraj Mandir is another popular attraction of Somnath. Suraj Mandir, situated towards the northern part of Triveni Ghat, is dedicated to Sun God. This temple dates back to the time of the original Somnath temple which was raided and looted by Mohammed Ghazni. Suraj Mandir is noted for its architectural marvel which is employed through the sculptures and figurines of animals like lions and elephants.
