Daman city is located in the Daman District of the Union Territory of Daman and Diu. The city is mainly divided into two parts by the Damanganga River, namely the Nani Daman and Moti Daman. The Nani Daman has popular supermarkets, hospitals and some of the major residential areas. The Moti Daman is inhabited by fishermen and government officers and is connected by two bridges with Nani Daman. The Jumpore Beach and the Devka Beach are two of the important beaches in Daman which are ideal for water sports and adventure activities.
