Margao, also known as Moddganv or Margaon, is the second largest city and commercial capital of Goa. Located in the Salcete taluka, the city serves as the administrative headquarters of South Goa District. Tourists to Margao can visit City Hall, Municipal Garden, Narcinva D. Naik residence or Damodar Sal and Dambaba Saal, which are among the prominent landmarks of the city. Closed Market or Mercado de Afonso de Albuquerque, Anna Fonte, Old Market or Mercado Velho and Holy Spirit Church are some of the popular attractions of the site.
