It is an ethnographical museum which preserves many artifacts related to the local civilizations. The museum gives importance to the lifestyle, indigenous methods, craftsmanship, art and folklore of the region's early settlements. The museum also exhibits private collections of around 400 objects. The artefacts are accompanied by information collected by interviewing elder member of the community. Documents consist of data about the artefacts, materials used, craftsmanship and their period along with photographic evidence and interviews, where applicable.
