The Church of Our Lady of Rosary is situated near the Basilica de Bom Jesus on a holy hill known as Monte de Boa Vista. The church provides a beautiful view of the Mandovi River and the Divar Island. It was one of the first built churches in Goa and was the imagination of Alfonso de Albuquerque. The church was marked as the first triumph of the Portuguese in Goa. Plastered with lime mortar, the Church of Our Lady Rosary also has a double-storeyed portico as well as a faade having rounded towers on either side.
