Cabo Raj Bhavan
Cabo Raj Bhavan is located towards the end of a cape, which is the merging point of Zuari and Mandovi Rivers. This Bhavan is called as the Governor's Palace, as it is the official residence of the Governor of Goa. In addition, the attraction is also known as the Cabo Raj Niwas. It was built in 1540, when it was called the 'Palacio de Cabo' by the Portuguese and was the residence of the Governor General. The Bhavan was built as a fortress, from where monitoring of the vessel entering from the two rivers is done. The Bhavan houses various antique artefacts, such as Chinese porcelain and Bohemian glass chandeliers. More than 500 years old church, which is known as the 'Our Lady of Cabo Church', is situated near the Cabo Raj Bhavan.
