Goa Science Centre is an important tourist site in Caranzalem, which is situated on the New Marine Highway that connects Miramar and Panaji. It is a main division of the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), a unique project setup by the Ministry of Culture. The main aim of this project was to set up varied science learning centre all over the country. Starting from 1999, the construction of this centre took over two and a half years. This museum is spread across 20,000 sq. m area and features daily science shows for young children. It also organises daily science demonstration lectures, 3D film shows, science film shows, cyberlab shows and taramandal shows.
